The flat racing Thoroughbred breeding program at Elysian Fields International is based primarily on Japanese-bred horses in honor of the founder's favorite Thoroughbred racehorse, SUNDAY SILENCE. Because of that, U.S. based horses are likely to descend from him and the stallion, HAIL TO REASON.
There is a National Hunt and Steeplechase program based in Scotland. Bloodlines there are focused on European lines specifically for racing over fences, but incorporate HAIL TO REASON. Elysian Fields International has five locations worldwide. See the horses by selecting a region from the pulldown menu above. These horses may be bred to Thoroughbreds (preferred), but can also be bred to approved Arabians, Anglo-Arabs, and warmbloods. Flat racers and steeplechasers may be bred together. All of the Thoroughbreds conform to the registration guidelines set forth by The Jockey Club. The guidelines can be found here. The horses are registered with NAMTOBA. Registering your Thoroughbred foal with NAMTOBA is encouraged, but not mandatory. |
