The Arabian pedigree assignment program at Elysian Fields focuses on producing horses that are athletic and beautiful. Therefore, most of the breeding horses are performance tested in some way, be that racing or other equestrian events. Most of the purebred Arabians here are of mixed or "domestic" lineage, but a several pure Polish, straight Russian, and straight Egyptian horses reside here, too.
The half Arabian and Anglo-Arab (the Thoroughbred x Arabian cross, not the French breed) program is newer, but will expand in the future. The Arabians and part Arabians are registered with the American Model Arabian Horse Association. Offspring from them must conform to the registration guidelines set forth by the real life Arabian Horse Association, which the AMAHA uses, and could be registered by the AMAHA (the exception would be Shagya Arabians, but there are none here at the moment). The guidelines can be found here. Registering your foal with AMAHA is encouraged, but not mandatory. |
